Summer in the Okanagan

June – August

The Fruit Calendar

The Okanagan fruit season is one of the great underrated experiences in Canada. Roadside family stands, some open only 4–6 weeks a year. Look for hand-painted signs along Highway 97 and Lakeshore Road.

On the Water

  • Best beaches: Gyro Beach, Boyce-Gyro, Rotary Beach, Manhattan Beach (quieter)
  • Paddleboard and kayak rentals — we can arrange it
  • Boat charters on Okanagan Lake — half day or full day
  • Ogopogo: keep an eye on the water. Guests love the lore.

Wine Country

  • Tasting fees are often waived with a bottle purchase — worth knowing for first-timers
  • Mission Hill — the amphitheatre views are worth the visit alone
  • Quails' Gate — best patio on the west side
  • NK'Mip (Osoyoos) — Indigenous cultural experience, exceptional
  • Ask our concierge to arrange a private driver for a winery day

Summer Events

  • Peach Fest — Penticton, August long weekend
  • Kelowna Regatta
  • Various outdoor concerts and waterfront festivals
